We have a shared folder on our Windows 2000 Server that a
lot of company shared information gets stored. I had to
relocate the folder to a new volume because the volume it
was on was full. Now, I am getting a Disk is full
message but there is 19.6G free on the drive. Also, it
appears that some times you can save. I am thinking that
it maybe a permission issue but I have checked them and
the they appear correct. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bill Mace

Do you have a disk quota on that drive that restricts the amount that a user
can store?

No, I have checked this but I have discovered that I can
create files with like notepad but I can't create or save
files with applications like Word or Excel? I have
checked the permissions Everyone is set to full access.
Even I as an administrator cannot save files from most
applications like Word or Excel.

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Bill Mace

I think this is an error from your Office apps - what OS are you running on
the workstations? I've seen this before with Win9x on an AD domain....

Note - not a good idea to give users Full Control - Change rights should be
enough. You don't want 'em changing permissions.
