This may seem so trivial but somehow I accidentally changed the file icon for
my D drive from a Disk Drive icon to a thumb drive icon, and it bugs the hell
out of me. I know I can change the icon for my doc folders, but how do I go
about changing the icon dor my D drive (disk drive)? My C Drive icon is okay
(disk drive icon).

Open your D Drive and look for a file name called "Autorun.inf". Enable "Show
all files" options from Tools - Folder Options. Delete this file and it will
restore the default icon.

Hope this help, let us know!

Are you using any third party software like Style XP or Windows Blinds? Is
there was a AutoRun.Inf on your drive? If there was a file then you need to
Log Off and Log In again after you delete the file. if you have Windows
Blinds kind of utility then you need to restore the icon from that program.

Let us know!

Actually your first suggestion worked! After I deleted the file it didn't
work at first, (the icon was still the same) and then just now, I thought
typical of Windows, perhaps I need to restart my computer and I did, and it
worked! Thank you.
