My laptop was slowing down, so I performed a disk defrag
(badly needed). I have one file that shows up in the
Analysis Report that I am unable to identify. The Report
doesn't show 100% what the file name is or where it is
located, but what I see is Fragments: 24460, File Size:
1.02 GB, File: \System Volume Information\_restore
{F16FC6C4-144C-41C6-B7F1-FA3 - and that's as far as it
goes. Can anyone tell me where this folder is located?
I've been unable to locate it,

Found out that the file is associated with System
Restores. The thing to do is to either:
1. turn off System Restore (my computer / properties)
2. reboot, do a disk dfrag and then turn restores back on
or
1. run a diskcleanup (accessories / system)
2. under more options - select cleanup old restore points
3. run diskcleanup and then run another defrag
Either way works.

Brent,

Or, you can get a defragmenter that will defragment the System Restore files
:)
