Disk Defragmenter never works

I can't defrag my system, I even upgraded to XP thinking
it would fix the problem. Is there somewhere to download a
program to defrag.

Why can't you defrag your system? Are you getting an error message? What
happens when you try to run defrag?

You could also try to run it from a CMD prompt. Type 'DEFRAG C:' (or
another drive letter) and see what happens.

If defrag did not run on your previous OS and will not run now that you've
upgraded to XP I'd suspect a hard drive problem. You might want to see if
your hard drive manufacturer has a diagnostic app and check your drive.

Yes there are stand-alone defrag apps that work with XP. I use Perfect Disk
