Disk Cleanup

I use Windows XP and I can't get it to do a disk cleanup.
I have had the XP on my computer for three months. It
worked great until I had gotten a virus. I deleted the
virus off my computer and installed a the Windows XP to
get the computer to working. I can't get it to do a disk
cleanup. I let it run for 2 1/2 hours this evening just
thought it might need some time and nothing. Can anyone
help me with this problem. Thanks, Michelle.

Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
