Disk Cleanup

When disk cleanup runs, it shows scanning Compressed
files. It does this for a few minutes then systen locks up
(screen freezes). Can I remove this feature from W2K Pro?
Or Can I reload this feature? I didn't see this feature in
the setup/remove window components.
 
It takes a very long time and may not be frozen. I mean a very long time. No way I know around it either.
