Disk cleanup - temp files

When I run Disk Cleanup on my drive, it often shows a small amount of space
savings for deleting temporary files (less than 1 mb). However, when I look
in my user profile \Local Settings\Temp, there's often a bunch of crap in
there, including subfolders, totaling several hundred mb. Usually some
leftover files from an installer. Does the Disk Cleanup check this folder?
If not, what does it check? And if so, why doesn't it elect to delete all
the junk?

I am not sure.
Try using CrapCleaner to clean up your drive.
