disk cleanup options

how do I get xp to stop scanning my harddrive for files
to be compressed with "compress old files" when I have
plenty of disk space available, and do not want to waste
time scanning for compressable files?

Hi, uncheck the box. It will only compress the files if you tell it too.

Line 48, Right column "Disk Cleanup - Compress..."
Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
