down to Line #48. In the right-hand window, click on
"Disk Cleanup - Compress Old Files Freezes"

Simply click on Kelly's fix, download the registry fix, then run it.
(Note: Disable your antivirus program before running the repair script)

.click start/run/ type msconfig/click selective
startup/go to startup tab/ unclick some of the programs
that you don't use or rarely use immediatley after
startup this will reduce the startup/shutdown load and
allow the things that start to finish starting completly.
After this try running cleanup. it should run but it
might not. If you go through and unclick them all/reboot
go back to start/run/msconfig click on one program and go
back through the cycle you will find the app that is
hanging up you system. this is slow but worth it. I
bought and installed "speedboot" from tucows downloads(I
think?) There are several apps that I only use
occasionally so I don't start them till I need them I
also set 1.75 sec between application starts. this has
cleared up several recurrent glitches.
