Disk Cleanup error

I have a user getting the Buffer Overrun error when trying to run the Disck
Cleanup utility (cleanmgr.exe).

The error reads: Buffer overrun Detected! Program:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\cleanmgr.exe. A buffer overrun has been detected which
has corrupted the program's internal state. The program cannot safely
continue execution and must now be terminated.

I have tried replacing the exe itself to no avail. Any other suggestions
are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Try installing xp cd,exit the info page,go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:
VERIFY ON Then type:Sfc /Scannow When the utility is thru,15 min or so,
type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree,type:EXIT Restart computer,remove xp cd.Back in
xp,go to run,type:CLEANMGR /SAGESET Select folders to clean,back to run,
type:CLEANMGR /SAGERUN You can also open cmd type:CLEANMGR
