Disk clean up???

My disk clean up is not working. It comes on & starts to work, but only go as
far a 4 blue squares & seems to stop..It will stay this way for hours..When I
check the Task Manager it showes that this program is useing 100% of the pcu.
What Can I do to fix this problem???????
