Disk Clean-up; hanging

Hello,

When using disk clean-up, the pop-up box hangs in
the "calculating disk space this may take a few minutes
Scanning compressed files". I have left the system on
overnight, and it is still in the same area. Even after
rebooting, and trying again, it starts in the same spot.
I can cancel, but never complete the task.

Is there some way to make it finish, or restart from
scratch?

Mike I am having the same problem with no resolution thusfar. Let me know if you find out how to fix it

Have your tried to force a CHKDSK to check the hard drive? START|RUN|type
in CHKDSK

Save on Desktop.
Double click the icon once downloaded.
The icon can then be discarded.
