Disk clean problem

The disk clean up program will start but it won't give
me any options it reads scanning old compressed files and
it does that forever. When I close the box my system is
slower than slow. In the task manager the process is
still running and under cpu it has value of 99 when i end
the process my computer is fast again. I've tryed using
the command prompt %temp% and deleting the files and so
on and it still doesn't work. Is this a problem with my
hard drive?

Hi Susan!
In the Disk Cleanup dialogue box, uncheck the compress old files option. It
takes forever anyway.

A common problem. Apply the fix found here on line 48. (right hand column)
