Bill V.
For the past week every time I turn on my computer, I get
a blue screen message that Windows XP recommends that my
F hard drive (which only contains data and no
applications)go through a "Disk Checking for Consistency"
on FAT 32. Sometimes the message appears before I log in
and sometimes it appears after I log in. Last week I
proceeded with the "Disk Checking for Consistency", which
took several hours. In addition I did an "Error Checking"
on my F drive (properties, tools, error-checking) which
also took several hours. Since both the Disk Check and
Error Check have been completed, can anyone help me
understand why XP is still recommending a "Disk Checking
for Consistency" and how I can prevent this message from
appearing every time I turn on my computer?
Thanks,
Bill
