My Window 2000 Professional will check disk automatically
upon start up before the OS loads my personal settings.
The notebook will be rebooted again after disk check. It
is very irritating. Can anyone advise me how to disable
the disk check?

When I use IE 5, I can "print screen" directly by clicking
the Print option from FILE (on Menu bar). But when I
download IE6, an error message poped up saying "script
error" and gave me the URL res://C:\WINNT\System32
\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg whenever I click print from FILE
menu. Can anyone advise how to solve the problem?

Problem 1:
The disk check gives you a countdown to abort by pressing any key. Is the machine shutting down correctly? An incomplete shutdown
or pressing the power button to shutdown will cause the chkdsk to run at boot.
