Disk Boot failure

I don't have a system bootup disk and have attempted to
download one using my other computer--everytime, within a
second of finishing, the message comes up that there is
not enough space on the disk. When I insert a second
disk, nothing happens--so I assume that I have to wait
for the message to put in the second of six disks and
that this first disk is not a large enough capacity??? I
have 1.44 MB floppys == are there floppys with larger
capacity? Or what can I do to get the download to go to
the next disk??

Thanks

(I'm trying to boot up from the A: drive because my
computer does not see the Windows XP disk in the cdrom
drive)

Try going into bios and set the boot order to CDROM first. Then try booting
from the CDROM.

No floppy disks exist which are higher capacity no.
However, I would start by looking at why your machine
won't see the CDROM. Have you checked the BIOS to ensure
that these things are true:

CDROM working correctly?
Set to look at CDROM for boot info first?

You will need to press the spacebar during the boot
sequence to boot from the disk, do you see this prompt?
