Hi
Actually I'm running w2k03 sp1 server. When I reboot the server from the
time the "connecting to network resources" window appears and a log on box
resolves it is fully 12 minutes. Any idea why this "connecting" process
takes so long?

Thanks,

Is the server also a Domain Controller?

If it is this is almost always a DNS issue, and is likely not using only the
internal DNS in TCP/IP properties, Do not use an ISP or other external DNS
in TCP/IP Properties of any member of an AD domain member.
If it is also the only DC and is using AD integrated zones, it can also be
caused because DNS cannot load the zones until AD starts and AD starts slow
because it cannot find a DNS server that has the zone for the AD domain. You
can change the zone to a standard primary zone, but you'll lose Security on
the zone.
It is recommended that you have at least two DCs with DNS installed and that
each DC use the other DC for Preferred DNS and itself for an Alternate.
