Disconnecting

Hi, If i open up oe and go to my in box if i read an email then try to reply to that email as soon as i hit send i get disconnected from the internet on the spot. This didn't happen until i put in xp pro. Plerase help me if you can......Linda

Outlook Express, Tools, Options, Connection tab. Is Hang up after sending
and receiving checked?

Try this

OE / Tools / Options / Connection
Uncheck the box "Hang up after sending and receiving"

You may also want to do go OE / Tools / Options / Send
Uncheck the box "Send messages immediately"
