How do you clear or reset a broken/disconnected user
terminal connection in Windows 2000 Terminal Services
without rebooting the server?

If it is a one-time issue, you can reset a disconnected session
manually from within Terminal Server Administration. Right-click on
the session and select "Reset".

If you have to do this often, for one reason or the other, you can
configure a time-out limit on disconnected session and set the action
on reaching the time-out limit to "Reset". This is done in TS
Connection Configuration.

.

USE Terminal Services Manager (It's located in the
Windows System 32 folder, I believe if it's not already
in your Administrative tools. When you see the user's
sessions, right click them - you'll be able to log them
off, send console messages, or use Remote Control on the
sessions.
