Disconnect dial-up connection

When I used to exit IE or OE, it would display a dialog asking me whether I
wanted to keep my dial-up connection or disconnect. It no longer displays
this question, and so I have to remember to disconnect using the small icon
in the taskbar tray. How do I get the dialog back?

Allow IE to control your dialling

Go to Tools > Internet Options > Connections

Select either Dial whenever a network connection is not present or select
Always dial my default connection, whichever you prefer.

For OE to control your dialling

Tools > Options > Connection

Hang up after sending and receiving
