I've set a GP to prevent users (other than admins) from having access to
Disconnect thru start menu.

However, some of my (shall we say, less intelligent) users cannot work with
TS in Full Screen and insist on a windowed version.... so they can still
click the X in the upper corner to disconnect......

I have attempted to educate them (with a cricket bat) but have failed....

Is there any way I can prevent them clicking X or can at least popup a
message that states somethng along the lines of "You shouldn't be doing
this.... you are very very naughty and you'll go without any lunch if you
continue!!!"

Thanks,

C

When users disconnect, by closing the session window, they *should*
get a message which asks them for confirmation if they really want
to disconnect. Do you mean that your users see no message at all,
or are they simply confirming it?
I don't think that you can change the text of the message, but that
would probably not help you very much either.

There are two things that you can do:
1) configure your TS with a time-out limit of 1 minute on
disconnected sessions, and set the action to be taken when the
time-out limited is exceeded to "end the session". In that way, you
will get rid of all disconnected sessions. But be sure to warn your
users in advance about this, because all data that has not been
saved will be lost.
2) Hack the rdp client to completely remove the X box. Info here:
