Hi hope someone out there can help, I am running Windows
XP Home, as well as other various Microsoft Packages.
Also running Nero, disc burner, MSN6, Norton Internet
security...and thats it!!

Try to access disc drives, and it comes up with D:\ is
not accessible. Incorrect function with ok button.

E drive is not working properly nor is A drive.

Have installed slave C drive and slowly building system
back up from original disks.Downloaded again V6 of MSN
and reinstalled Norton..... Problem again occurs?!

Anyone any suggestions to curethis problem? All other
functions appear to be ok, have internet access, however
some buttons on some web sites appear not to function.....

Look forward to hearing from someone who knows the answer
to this problem....

Hi, Pat.

What does Disk Management tell you about your drives? At the Run prompt,
type: diskmgmt.msc

Study this new utility for a while, including the Help file. There's a lot
of power and information here.

WOW.
I have precisely this problem with w2000Pro, I suspect it started just after
I installed Nortons Internet Firewall a day after cleaning out the Blaster
worm.
The drives operate when the computer is started in safe mode!! - so I
suspect the nortons, however their normal behaviour is more than weird, ie
starting an audio player first will allow a cd to be played, but trying to
access the drive through any other windows office program or file explorer -
nix.
Any further ideas out there ??
Thanks allan
