I think you better read that article again! Nowhere in there does it
mention anything about
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\(B50F5260-0C21-11D2-AB56-00A0C9082678)
It says to delete the "Compress old files" key at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches
It also says in that article:
"Warning If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious
problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system.
Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from
using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk."
I don't mean to be rude or demeaning but if you can't follow the
instruction in the article maybe you should just forget about doing a
registry edit and do without disk cleanup. One wrong move in the
registry and you could completely screw up your windows installation.
Perhaps you have mixed this post with another one, you thought you were
replying to something else?
