I have start to plan our active directory DisasterRecovery, and am looking
at scenarios of what could occur. We have a one domain, with 3 domain
controllers, and have 2 sites, where 1 site has 2 domain controllers and the
other site has other 1 domain controller.. All DC are GC, and one domain
controller has all the opertaion master roles. The first scenario is doing
a authoritative restore, does this restore affect the sysvol share, group
membership or trusts, or does it depend on what your restoring, Can anyone
tell me the affects of this. Also if all our dc's went down, how easy would
it be to restore on a machine with different hardware. The last question if
the dc with all the roles went down, how easy would it be to transfer the
roles.
