Disaster, I can't run any application after I remove the spyware!!!!!

I ran the software and remove all the spyware and adware.
But after I restart my computer and enter into my desktop, I can't start any
of my applications.
For example, when I double click the shortcut of Antispyware, I can see the
loading signature notification.
But it just pending there.

By the way, I use windows 2000 professional.

Anyone can help? Maybe I have to reinstall my OS?

that is why you are always suppose to backup your system
before installing anything....especially a beta program
you downloaded from microsoft. you might be able to
repair your operating system without having to do a full
install.

Thanks buddy! Problem solved.
It turns out that there is some confilict with my firewall Zonealarm.
Each time I have to shutdown the zonealarm. I uninstalled the antispyware.
Problem with network was solved by WinsockFix.zip.
