Hi,
I install this update:
KB824141
KB826232
KB828035
KB825119
KB823182
on my DC (win2k SP4, SQL 2k SP3, Exchange 2k SP3, Zetafax Server 8).
Then Zetafax service stop running and an error message about "mpr.dll"
appear.

So I uninstall:
KB824141
KB826232
KB828035
and restart the server.

Then BLUE SCREEN!!!
with this error that sound like this (it's too quick!!!):
....missing DLL... can't find the file BASESRV....

Nothing to do with safe mode, last good know, restore AD, etc.and the file
basesrv.dll is present on disk in the right position (I control it with the
console booting form CD )

Any solution or idea?
Do we trust Windows Update anymore?

Thanks
ArthurDent

We won't need to trust them to do updates in future Windows - they'll
do them automatically, and probably invisibly (until our PCs just stop
working). This will probably be a condition of the license. So instead
of only us faithful updaters getting blown out of the water, everyone
with an internet connection will be. This is progress.

I'm still trying to get my Win 2000 system back up after yesterday's
updates. I think it used to have a Recovery Console, but I can't find
it.
