you would think after all these years that Microsoft could have enhanced
some of it controls... I am speaking specifficaly of the monthcalendar
control. it has been this way, i think, since Access 2.0.
seems that the only way to get a decent calendar is to have to purchase an
expensive 3rd party calendar. we should get something alittle better than
this control from Microsoft........ come on people.
sorry about the rant, just disspointed....
anyone know of a good third party calendar...
and before you say I should write my own... I did.. a very long time ago...
and it was a pain and had taken me quite sometime to do it.. was really
hoping to not have to go that route again.. why re-invent the wheel......

Brian,

As I have not seen yet a better alternative (I have seen others not better).

What would you think it should look like, maybe nice for a discussion.

Just telling it is not good is in my idea something everybody can do from
everything.

well,
removing bolded dates, and then adding back in.. maybe just me, does not
seem to work correctly.
selecting more than one date(start date/end date) you get that option, but
redraw is poor.
beining able to color any day( such as weekends or holidays).
Know which day is hovered over.. say for instance.. the 15 is bolded, but
the user does not know why, would be nice to be able to put a tooltip over
that day.
just a few of the things i've run into, its late here and I am sure I would
be able to think of some tomorrow.

I don't see the relation to the VB.Net language. Post @
m.p.d.framework.windowsforms.controls and add a question to enable
people to help you.

Shane,

Do you use the pure components library yourself?

-Just seeing if you are pleased with it.

Hello Miro,

No, I'm not using these components as I don't require their
functionality, however I do know someone who is and he claims they're
excellent and provide tremendous value. (He purchased the library prior
to their current US$79 promotion).

Thanks Shane, it does look like a nice 3rd party componet, which i may have
to look at... was just hoping micorsoft would have made some advancements in
the monthcalendar component.
