Disapperaring Printers Act.

All, apparently my AD has a few tricks up its sleeve. One of those happens
to be a disappearing act. Every so often, now occurring much more
frequently, all if not most of my printers disappear from Active Directory.
Today for instance, when searching for all printers, only 15 (of 200+) came
up. I have searched the event logs for clues to no avail. Can anyone help me
demystify this wonderful illusion?
