Hi
I had a call from a remote user who could not connect via the VPN
shortcut on his desktop. Upon talking to him I found that the VPN
connection was missing from his network connections.
I talked him through setting up a new connection but after he had hit
"finished" the new connection did not show up. We tried refreshing
etc. but it would not appear.
The really strange thing is that another remote user at the same place
has the exact same problem.
The problem occurs via the Hotel LAN, dial up and GSM so it doesn't
sound like a connectivity issue. But then again, two laptops failing
at the same time sounds a bit dodgy.
The only thing I can think of is that some sort of software (malicious
or update) may have been installed and has screwed up the Remote
Access service. Has anyone come accross this recently?
