Disappearing Tray Icons

I have a couple of tray icons that I have customized through the start menu
seem to diappear every few days even though I have set them to "always
show.' One is a memory meter, another an e-mail notifier. Somehow they
default back to 'hide when inactive.' It would seem this is a Windows issue.

Try cleaning the past icons cache. This does it easilly:
