Disappearing Taskbar

For some reason the current web page I view or minimize
does not show in the taskbar which makes it difficult to
open multiple sites. When I minimize a site it
disappears. This only seems to happen with Internet
Explorer and no other programs. Does anyone Know what the
problem is?
