Disappearing solution

This is odd. I created a blank solution and then added a c# class project to
it. After adding the project the solution in Solution Explorer disappeared
and the project is now the root of the tree, so I am unable to add any more
projects to the solution.

Does anyone know what might be causing this?
 
Maybe your Visual Studio is set to not display solutions when there is only
one project.

Tools/Options/Projects and Solutions --> "Always show solution" checkbox.
