disappearing emails

When I am in my email account I can look at an email and all of a sudden it
is gone. I have checked the deleted and junk folders and it isn't in them.
This has happened several times in the past two wookes. Where do I find them
or how do I stop this from happening?

Go to whatever folder you are seeing this in and: View | Current View.
Show All Messages should be checked, not Hide Read Messages.

This happens to me, too, but usually with messages I am writing, not reading.
Maybe I touch something inadvertently but I don't think so. Suddenly the
message I was working on or had just completed is gone, and it's not in
Deleted or any place else.
Quite ofdten the message I have just tried to send does not turn up in Sent
or Outbox or Deleted, and in this case sometimes it gets sent anyway (I get
an answer!) and sometimes it doesn't. I am obliged to request Read messages
from my correspondents buat even that is no guarantee. Is there no place in
my computerI can pull these vanished messages back from?

When composing use File | Save As and save the unsent message to the desktop
until you send it. That way you can recover it if something vanishes. I'm
not sure what could be the cause of that unless its some 3rd party program
interfering.

Which antivirus are you running? Some of them cause problems with
Windows Mail over time.
