disappearing cursor

I have repeated problems with my cursor disappearing on my
Dell laptop Inspiron 8200, running Windows XP (Home
addition). Has anyone had this problem, and can you tell
me what to do to fix it? thanks

which program are you using. do you mean cursor or mouse pointer?

Jeanne,

Under Mouse Properties - Pointer Options, you can choose to "Hide
pointer while typing". I found this to be extremely irritating
myself, so I disabled it. Or, you might find "Show location of
pointer..." to be of use.
