We are using a Win2K network with Exchange 2K and XP clients (both OS
and Ofc).
We have only two Public Folders: One is a Public Contacts folder and
one is a Public Email folder.
Public Contacts contains company contact information - we enter 250
names and addresses and over the course of a few weeks they all
disappear. There does not seem to be a pattern to this that I can
tell. I have disabled all rights to delete folder contents from all
but the Admin. I have removed all age limits that I could find. We
are not using Replication. Still the contacts continue to disappear.
The contacts are not marked 'Private', in fact that box is grayed out
in the contact window.
The contacts do show on the desktop as 245 items, 210 unread (although
these numbers seem to have nothing to do with the vanishings). Last
Friday we had 114 and this Monday we had 107.
Conversely, we use the Public Email folder to store all mail the GFI
MailEssentials spam filter blocks as spam. This folder is set with an
age limit of 21 days yet the mail hangs out there forever (until I go
in and delete it).
Any ideas on what I'm missing? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
