I am unable to send e-mail attachments from Outlook 2000. The
attaching and sending processes are normal, but the attachment is not
there when the recipient receives the e-mail. Have re-installed, but
no help. I would appreciate someone's help on this.

are you sending in Rich text Format to a non-Outlook user perhaps?

To Rifleman: Thanks for your reply. I am using Rich text and
corresponding with people who are using OE or Eudora. Are you saying
that I must use only plain text in order to successfully send an
attachment to someone using Outlook Express?

yes. Only Outlook (that's the Office program NOT Outlook Express) can read
RTF email. No other email client can use it. Change your email format
(Tools-Options-Mail Format) to either Plain Text, (preferred) or HTML and
the problem should disappear.

HTH

Outlook Express and even Hotmail are able to send and receive in Rich Text
format. Still I would advise to use HTML or Plain Text over Rich Text unless
you've got serious needs for in-line attachments.

Does an attachment arrive when you send a message to yourself? It could be
that (certain) attachments are dropped automatically by the other party or
that you are not allowed to send (certain) attachments by you administrator.
