I want to disallow users to right click on the Start Menu
and choose Explore option.

Any idea how to implement it via Group Policy?

John-

There's a GP option to disasble running windows explorer. Of course now that
I look for it, I can't find it. It's in Admin Templates/Windows Settings
somewhere, if that helps at all. If I find it, I'll let you know. :)

Brian,

I checked through all policy settings but could not find
the setting to disable accessing Windows Explorer by
right-click Start Menu.

Basically, we successfully use group policy to stop users
from using My Computer, Run option from Start Menu and
accessing command prompt. But there is a loop hole. By
right-clicking Start menu, users can still launch
Windows Explorer.

Please advise.

Try "UserConfig"/"Admin Templates"/"Windows Components"/"Start Menu &
Taskbar"/"Remove Access to the context menus for the taskbar". Set it to
enabled.

Thank you. I will try it at work tomorrow.
