Disabling Windows XP splash screen on start up

Maybe I hit "close" instead of "send !" Trying again a few hours later

I'm brand new to Win XP, having used Win 98 for 5 years. I'd like to disable the Windows XP splash screen on start up. So, during start up, all I would see is the scrolling text of the start up routine--Wouldn't see the Win XP logo pulsing and all. If there is a MS Article on this subject, please direct me. Thank you.

Run MSCONFIG
click Boot.ini tab
Tick /SOS box
Click OK
