Disabling Windows XP Password

Here is my problem. My computer's motherboard fried (e-Machine), but
I was able to retrieve the hard drive intact.

On the e-Machine, I was using Windows XP with a password and I had
several accounts, mine being the administrator's and the only one
with a password.

I hooked up the hard drive as an external drive on another computer. I
can see the hard disk and can access all of the other account files,
but I cannot access the administrator's "My Documents." I
suspect, because it is still password protected through Windows XP.
Does anyone know how to disable the password for Windows XP or any
other creative way to access the administrator's "My Documents"?
Thanks so much for any thoughts or ideas!

Carey,

Thanks for the feedback. Although the response was helpful, it assumes
that there is a way to log on as administrator to the older hard drive.

When booting the machine from another computer, the "C drive" from the
e-Machine appears as an external drive on the other computer. Then,
when trying to access the external "C drive" the message "access
denied" appears. Any other thoughts? Thanks.

You need to follow the link Carey provided.
You are reading to much into it.
You do need to log in an Administrator account, but not on the old hard
drive.
Once you are logged in as an Administrator, follow the procedure to Take
Ownership of the old drive.
