I have been reading article from http://www.petri.co.il/disk_management.htm
and trying to implement the Disable USB Disks with GPO and Disable Writing
to USB Disks with GPO but it seems it didnt work on my part. I have copied
ADM to all of my Windows 2000 Servers and tried inserting USB drives but
still I can see them and I can write thru them. Anyone already inplemented
this thru GPO?

I have read on : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555324. Have tried it and
its not working. I have enable and disable the DIsable USB policy but still
I can see the USB drive on Windows XP Prof PC. Btw, I am using Windows 2000
Domain, and as seen on the KB, it is for Windows 2003.

hi, you can either create a batch file that will disable the
USBSTOR.dll.

You have to reboot for it to take effect. I don't believe that the
policy KB555324 works on Windows XP or server 2003. There are other
ways to do it but it doesn't rely on GPO.
