I teach classes in a training room environment. We are using Internet
Explorer, v. 6. Is there a way to temporarily disable the internet so users
cannot browse during a training session either through local policies or the
registry?

How about disconnecting the wire to the device you use to connect to the
internet?

Hi DonnaP,
If you are the Admin, why you don't Make a password to the Internet
Connection and through the shares when you want Internet connection, you
input the password and they will be able to access the internet.
But this depend on *How your network is set up*

Unfortunately, the training room is just one room in a firm where everyone
else still needs access to the internet. I can't disconnect the room from
the network, because it needs to find network resources during training. The
room is also used for Westlaw training which needs access to the internet so
I didn't want to reconfigure the program so that I need to fix it when my
class is done. I was hoping through the Policies there was something I could
just quickly enable and then set back to not configured after the class was
complete.
