I don't know if this has been covered before, but here goes nothing!! :)

I am trying to find out how I can turn off the windows firewall on a
group of Windows XP computers. They are all connected to a windows 2000
domain that is administering them.
We are finding that the firewall is interfering with VNC etc and would
like to turn it off as the *feature* is not required.

Any and all help much appreciated

Thanks
Graeme

Logon to a Windows XP SP2 computer as a member of the Domain Admins group.
See tip 7909 » How do I use Group Policy to manage Windows Firewall settings?
in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsifaq.com

Disable the 'Windows Firewall: Protect all network connections' GPO.
