With figures resting intermittently on the touchpad,
things inadvertently get selected and opened all over the
place!!

****How does one disable TAP TO CLICK?***

I've tried searching in HELP, various control panels
(mouse, keyboard, folder options, etc.).....

*IF* this setting available on your laptop (and it probably is), see it
under "Mouse" in the Control panel. If not there, then check with the
manufacturer of your laptop for assistance.

This would be a specific thing to your laptop, not a Windows issue. Suggest
you read the documentation that came with your system, visit the
manufacturer's site or call them.

Thanks for your reply. It's not there. It WAS (and you
can bet I disable it) before I downloaded the latest XP
updates!!! It's driving me nuts. I'll follow your
sugestion and check with Dell (Latitude C400). THANKS
AGAIN.
