Howdy! I run Win 98SE, & have Norton Anti-virus 2003. Every so often (couple
of days), i relook at my Norton tray icon, & see that the "auto protect" is
disabled. I have gone in repeatedly, re-enabled it...made sure that my live
update was run, & did a full system scan....nothing shows up, but a day or
so later...it's shut off again (disabled)!?!?!? Any feedback? A virus, or
worm, or Trojan? The kicker is that Norton detects nothing wrong. My sincere
thanks, in advance. All the best!.....Jerry

I would try Adaware
http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/
or Spybot
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=mirrors

You may have a trojan there that Norton does not recognise.
If that turns up nothing, try AVG anti virus, it does sometimes find
things that NAV misses, but turn off NAV when you run AVG and disable
auto protect on AVG when you have finished and turn NAV back on.

Taff....................
