How do I allow a user to disable network connections
without granting Administrator privileges to the user

Hi Upeshier,

For my Win2K Professional system (LAN only, no domain), members of the "Users" group
can Enable and Disable my Local Area Connection after I use the Group Policy Editor
(gpedit.msc) to set the following policy to "Disabled".

Local Computer Policy > User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Network >
Network and Dial-up Connections: Prohibit enabling/disabling a LAN connection

If you have any questions regarding Group Policy I suggest that you post to the
following newsgroup: microsoft.public.win2000.group_policy
