I was wanting to know if there is a way to disable the
key board only with out having to unplug it. We are
planning on setting a computer up to only view media and
do not want people surfing the web or messin around on
the computer. Is there a way of doing this by hitting a
certain key configuration or by password. Any help would
be appreciated I have searched support and have found
nothing on this topic.

The only thing i can think of is to try a usb keyboard.
USB devices can be pluged in and removed while the
computer is on.
Hope this helps.

Well, you could un-plug it for display, and when you want to use "A"
keyboard, you can use the "virtual" one .. goto "START" > "RUN" type osk
use the mouse to click the keys.
