disabling javascript

I continually receive runtime error messages while
online. I've been told to disable javascript to rectify
the problem, but I'm not sure how to do that. My security
settings are as high as I dare already! I would
appreciate any advice you could give.

If you turn off scripting, many pages won't load. Check this instead:

Open IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > uncheck Display a
notification about every script error.
