Hi,

Does anyone know how to disable the caching of records on a Win2K DNS
Server? I'm having problems trying to establish how MX records that are of
equal weight are dealt with by our mail server - for some reason the email
server is only connecting to one of the ip addresses (there are 2 equal
weighted MX records listed for a domain that I am sending quite a few emails
to) when surely it should be connecting to both approx 50% of the time for
each. I'm wondering if the DNS server is caching the records and always
offering them in the same order?

The only way to disable the DNS server from caching is to set a MaxCacheTtl
value of 0 in the registry. The MaxCacheTtl value is in the Article.
