Hi all,

Is it possible to disable the backspace behaviour in Internet Explorer? When
you press the backspace key your browser goes back one page in its history.
And that is not always something I want to happen.

Internet Explorer Control Panel Restrictions (Part 2) (All Windows)

The second one mentions "NoNavButtons - Disables the Forward and Back
navigation buttons". See if that also disables the Backspace key
function (not personally tried)

Sad to say, that seems not to work for me. For instance in the first document
you advised there should be the following entry in my registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions
but what I got is
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\SystemCertificates

But I saw in my TweakUI the following entry:
Explorer --> Command Keys: "Back (Internet Browser)". If I 'Change...' that
to 'Do nothing' it should help. But I think I need to reboot my system for it.

Thanks for your help.

I did NOT suggest the first document.
I suggested the second.
Please do not trim my responses to indicate otherwise.
