Disabling automatic restart

I would like to have automatic updates and installation, but I don't want my
PC to automatically restart after 5 minutes, which it sometimes would like to
do ("your computer needs to be restarted for the changes to take effect").
How can I disable automatic restart after automatic update of Windows XP Pro
SP2?

Set it to download and you choose when and what to install. That way,
you can concentrate on the updates, disable your anti virus auto-scan
before installing along with your firewall and let it reboot after
installing.
